The eTwinning Tree – An initiative between Malta and Slovenia

To celebrate eTwinning’s 15th anniversary and to implement this year’s Annual theme: Climate Change, eTwinning Malta is participating in an initiative between Malta and Slovenia. eTwinning Malta shall be sponsoring 15 schools from kindergarten up to post-secondary for a tree-planting activity in their school between the 1 st and 31st March 2020 – marking the 15th anniversary of eTwinning. Similar tree-planting activities shall be taking place in Slovenia.

eTwinning Exchange – Mgarr Primary (Malta) and San Lawrenz (Gozo)

The Year 6.2 students had a fantastic eTwinning experience in Gozo between 22nd and 23rd April. The students met their fellow eTwinners from San Lawrenz Primary School during this cultural exchange. The programme was jam packed with fun, culture, history and new friendships. The students stayed in Manresa house. The Maltese eTwinning National Support Service is delivering a series of webinars for Maltese teachers interested to learn more about eTwinning and the professional development opportunities available on the Portal. These online seminars are an opportunity for eTwinners to become involved in continuing Professional Development online. Invitation for Teachers of French to apply for eTwinning Seminar in France

The eTwinning National Support Service (NSS) is pleased to invite educators in Malta and Gozo to participate in a face-to-face Séminaire eTwinning Francophone on ‘Participation démocratique’ for Secondary School teachers. This will be held in Canopé Lille, France from the 26th – 28th April 2019 in French.

Target Group: Secondary school educators teaching French who are just starting in                                      eTwinning

eTwinning Activity at Mgarr Primary

The Year 6.2 students of Ms Sharon D’Amico are participating in an eTwinning project with students from San Lawrenz, Gozo. An activity was carried out with Ms Laura Schembri, the digital literacy support teacher this morning, at Ta Ħaġrat Temples. The students used their tablets and QR codes to find clues and information about these temples. It was great fun and the children participated eagerly. Students had done some research about the site prior to the activity and were well-prepared.

Call for Applications – eTwinning Schools

In 2018, 1212 Schools were awarded with the eTwinning School Label and every year more schools will join this exciting, new network. In order to capture, understand and support the ways in which eTwinning Schools interpret their role (for instance by developing shared leadership, teacher collaboration, students/parents/local community involvement), the eTwinning team will conduct a qualitative monitoring activity in 2019-2020 with the aim to publish a Report. This will be done, among other things, via a survey which will investigate on the ways eTwinning Schools interact with the schools in their area and provide support, training and promotional activities.
