Safer Internet Day – Resources for PSCD Teachers

The PSCD department within the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes is once again collaborating with the Commissioner for Children, Aġenzija Appoġġ, and the Cyber Crime Unit within the BeSmart Online Project to celebrate Safer Internet Day. This year, Safer Internet Day will be celebrated on Tuesday 8 th February 2022. Safer Internet Day aims to not only promote a safer internet but also a better internet, where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

The PSCD teachers are being encouraged to make students aware of this day and carry out lessons and clips prepared for middle and secondary students during the safer internet day or during that week. The lessons prepared are part of the PSCD learning outcomes syllabus and complement work already done in class and in the reflective workbooks. The toolkit created by the BeSmart Online Team includes lesson plans, video clips and other resources that can be accessed through the link
