National Readathon 2022 – Individual Participants

The Malta Trust Foundation, in conjunction with the National Literacy Agency, is organising the fifth edition of the National Readathon. The aim of the Readathon is to foster a love for reading among children, while nurturing in them a sense of solidarity with their peers through reading for pleasure. Children will be rewarded for their reading efforts and the funds collected will be used to purchase educational resources for non-verbal children on the
autism spectrum. This initiative is being organised with the support of Malta Public Transport.

The chosen slogan for this year’s edition of the Readathon is ‘Read – Any Time, Any Place!’ This initiative will last until June 2022 and is intended for pupils from Year 1 to Year 8 in primary/middle schools.

Those pupils whose school is not participating may still participate in the National Readathon on an individual basis. To participate, their parents/guardians should fill in the online form, which may be accessed here by not later than Friday, 29th April 2022.

The National Literacy Agency will mail a copy of the Readathon leaflet to the address listed in the form. Filled in forms are to be handed or sent by post to the Agency, by the closing date of the initiative, on the following address: ‘National Literacy Agency’, National Curriculum Centre, J. Abela Scolaro Street, Ħamrun ĦMR 1304. The money collected by these individuals is to be deposited by not later than Friday, 3rd June 2022, in the
Malta Trust Foundation bank account as listed below:
