Code.SprintMalta 2023: Largest National Coding Competition

Code.SprintMT is a competition designed to test problem-solving and programming skills of students from secondary and post-secondary. Besides, an open category is also available. Participants will be given a set of tasks to complete within a specific timeframe using the programming language specified in the syllabus. A panel of judges will assess participants’ solutions, and the winner and two runners-up will be announced.

Secondary category students can also earn an MQF 3 certification. In addition to fantastic prizes, including cash prizes, all participants, finalists, and the top three code sprinters will receive digital certificates via blockchain technology. The Secondary student category is open to FIVE students per school and up to TWO private students per private tutor. Eligible students must be studying Computing for the SEC examinations. It is in the discretion of the school or the private tutor to choose the participants. Secondary students will register with the acknowledgement of their parents/guardians, and the Code. SprintMT organizers will then seek approval from their Computing teacher/private tutor.

The Post-Secondary student category are open to all interested participants who are studying Computing and/or IT at post-secondary for the MATSEC examinations. Interested participants should register for themselves. The Open-Category is open to all interested participants, but it is mostly aimed towards undergraduate / postgraduate students following a Computer Science or other IT related courses and already established software developers. Interested participants should register for themselves.
