The Institute for Education is accepting applications for the non-accredited course Using Online Collaborative Technologies with Young Learners commencing in April 2019 at the Institute for Education, Martin Luther King Hall, Martin Luther King Road, Pembroke. The aim of this course is for Early Years educators to become aware of, and familiarise themselves with a number of free online tools that they can use in order to create resources for and with their students. The course will have a duration of 6 weeks with two face-to-face sessions.
Participants will be expected to carry out 25 hours of work on the course. Due to the blended nature of delivery, there will be a high degree of flexibility with regard to completing the weekly tasks. The work carried out by the participants will also be shared on a digital portal.
A Certificate of Attendance for this 25-hour course will be issued to successful participants which may be used as part of their Accelerated Progression. Dates of Sessions are as follows:
- Week 1 – 29th April (face-to-face session)
- Week 2 – 6th May (online webinar) Week 3 – 13th May (online webinar)
- Week 4 – 20th May (online webinar)
- Week 5 – 27 May (work on final task)
- Week 6 – 3 June (face-to-face session)
