Digital Art Exhibition and Competition

The Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes would like to invite students from all year groups at state and non-state schools to participate in a Digital Art Exhibition and Competition. Class teachers (at Primary level) and Art teachers, Media Literacy teachers and Information Technology teachers (at Secondary level) are encouraged to collaborate and guide students’ participation by choosing ONE of the below as a starting point to develop a digital artwork:

  • Infinity
  • Emotions
  • Colours

Participation Procedures

  1. A student may participate only ONCE.
  2. The file name containing the Digital Art submissions must include the student’s Name and Surname, Class, College/School.
    Example: MarkBorgYr2_1ZabbarPrimary or
    MariaZarbYr7_5StMargaretCollegeMS or
    AlanGattYr10_3StGorgPrecaCollegeSS
  3. Forms of Digital Art may include: Computer Graphics, Pixel Art, Digital Photography, Digital Collage, and Digital Painting.
  4. Known persons, organisations or brand names cannot feature as part of the presentation.

Digital Display

Images of submitted digital artworks will be displayed in a digital exhibition using the Ministry for Education mediapl atforms and others.

Selection and Announcement of Prize-Winners

Entries will be divided into FOUR categories:
• Group A: Year 1-3
• Group B: Year 4-6
• Group C: Year 7-8
• Group D: Year 9-11

Prizes will be given to those who place first, second, and third in each category. A certificate of participation will be provided to ALL participants. A panel of experts in the field of digital art will judge the presented work.
